The old-school BSD program "quot" reported disk usage based
on idle time.  Knowing that someone has 80% of the space on
a partition is a lot more provoking when you see it has all
been idle 90 days.

I use this "replacement" on systems that don't have the one
that reads the disk device directly.  It is almost as fast.
